Product names and LED counts are not enough to compare red-light devices. Meaningful comparison requires technical details and practical fit.
Wavelength
Red-light products commonly use wavelengths such as 630 nm or 660 nm, while near-infrared products commonly use wavelengths such as 810 nm, 830 nm or 850 nm.
Buyer check: Confirm the exact wavelengths rather than relying on “red light” or “infrared” alone.
Irradiance
Irradiance describes power reaching a surface area and is commonly expressed in mW/cm². Measurement distance and method matter.
Buyer check: If irradiance is not disclosed, a precise dose cannot be calculated.
Fluence or Dose
Fluence combines irradiance and exposure time and is often expressed in J/cm². More exposure is not automatically better.
