Printable PEMF Frequency Chart: 1–30 Hz Reference
Print or save this PEMF frequency chart as a PDF for a quick reference to common 1–30 Hz consumer mat settings.
This chart explains general session contexts and important limitations. It is not a medical protocol or a promise that one exact frequency will produce a specific health result.

Printable PEMF Mat Frequency Chart
| Frequency range | Common consumer-use context | Interpretation limit |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 Hz | Often selected for quiet, evening, meditation, or relaxation-focused routines. | These settings do not guarantee sleep, healing, hormone release, pain relief, or cellular regeneration. |
| 4–7 Hz | Commonly used during gentle cooldown, stretching, recovery, or pre-sleep routines. | Frequency alone does not determine relaxation, recovery, or therapeutic outcomes. |
| 7.83 Hz | Commonly referenced in PEMF discussions because it is close to one frequently cited Schumann resonance value. | This does not establish that a device recreates the Earth’s electromagnetic environment or produces grounding, immunity, or circadian effects. |
| 8–12 Hz | Often selected for general daytime wellness and moderate-setting routines. | Devices using the same frequency can differ substantially in intensity, waveform, pulse width, and applicator design. |
| 13–18 Hz | Commonly selected for daytime, movement, or activity-oriented sessions. | A higher pulse rate does not automatically mean a stronger or more effective PEMF session. |
| 19–30 Hz | Often selected by users who prefer a more active or stimulating session setting. | Begin conservatively with unfamiliar settings and follow the instructions for the specific device. |
Chart note: These ranges describe general consumer-use patterns rather than standardized medical protocols. They should not be interpreted as dosing instructions or proof that an exact frequency produces a particular physical, neurological, emotional, or cognitive outcome.
Frequency and Intensity Are Different
Frequency measures how many pulses occur each second and is expressed in hertz. Intensity describes the strength of the electromagnetic field. Two PEMF mats set to the same frequency may still provide very different exposures.
Waveform, pulse width, applicator design, session duration, placement, and product instructions also matter. A frequency chart cannot replace the specifications and operating instructions for the actual device.
Safety Reminder
People with implanted electronic devices, pregnancy, seizure history, active bleeding concerns, recent surgery, or other relevant medical considerations should obtain qualified guidance before using PEMF equipment.
Review the PEMF Contraindications Database for general educational safety information.
How to Use the Printable Chart
- Use it as a basic orientation tool, not a treatment schedule.
- Follow the instructions supplied with your specific device.
- Start with shorter sessions when testing unfamiliar settings.
- Change one variable at a time.
- Do not assume the same Hz setting is equivalent across different PEMF mats.

Adjustable PEMF Mats
The Holistix Paragon and Paragon Demi offer adjustable settings across the 1–30 Hz range. Review the complete specifications and product instructions rather than selecting a mat based on frequency range alone.
